Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a comprehensive range of waxing services including brow shaping, lip and chin, underarm, arm, back and chest, bikini, Brazilian, Hollywood, half leg, three-quarter leg, and full leg waxing.

Hair should ideally be at least 5mm long — roughly the length of a grain of rice — for the wax to grip it effectively. This is usually about 2 to 3 weeks of growth after shaving. If hair is too short, the wax cannot adhere properly and results will be patchy.

There is a brief moment of discomfort with each pull, especially on more sensitive areas like the bikini line. However, the sensation is momentary. Regular waxing clients generally find the discomfort decreases significantly over time as the hair grows back finer. Avoiding waxing immediately before or during your menstrual cycle can also help reduce sensitivity.

Waxing removes hair from the root, so results typically last between 3 to 6 weeks depending on your individual hair growth cycle. With regular waxing, hair tends to grow back progressively finer and sparser.

For the first 24 to 48 hours after waxing, avoid hot baths or showers, saunas, swimming pools, direct sun exposure, and tight clothing over the waxed area. To prevent ingrown hairs, start gentle exfoliation 48 hours after your appointment.

We strongly advise against shaving between appointments. Shaving cuts the hair at the surface, causing it to grow back with a blunt, sharp edge — undoing the benefits of regular waxing. Allow the hair to grow to the correct length for your next appointment.

Waxing should be avoided over active skin conditions (eczema flare-ups, psoriasis, sunburn, open wounds), areas where Retin-A or other strong retinoids have been applied, and varicose veins. Please inform your therapist if you are on any prescription skincare medications, as some thin the skin and make waxing inadvisable.

Ensure your hair is the right length, arrive with clean, product-free skin, and avoid applying lotions or oils to the area on the day of your appointment. Light exfoliation two days before (not immediately before) helps lift dead skin cells and reduces the chance of ingrown hairs.
